1.7 Jurisdiction
As shown in Figure 1, the dialog presents one question, "Does
this court have jurisdiction over the respondent?" If you respond
no, "This court has jurisdiction over the marriage."
and "This court does not have jurisdiction over the respondent."
will be added to 1.7 Jurisdiction paragraph as shown in Figure 2.

For this demonstration we select yes to the question "Does this court have
jurisdiction over the respondent?" as shown in Figure 3.
Notice additional selections are presented.

Furthermore, for this demonstration we will select the following:
- the respondent is currently residing in Washington
- the petitioner and respondent lived in Washington during their marriage and
the petitioner continues to reside, or be a member of the armed forces stationed,
in this state.
- the petitioner and respondent may have conceived a child while within Washington.
